OpenAI's ambitious plan to integrate its Sora AI video generator into ChatGPT by 2026 comes amid declining user engagement. The standalone app, launched in September 2025 with TikTok-style functionality, saw installs plummet 45% month-over-month in January 2026 according to Appfigures data.

The failed Disney partnership and subsequent removal from Apple's top 100 apps signal challenges for AI-generated content platforms. This development coincides with increased institutional interest in AI-related crypto assets like FET, AGIX, and OCEAN.

Market analysts note the Sora announcement briefly boosted AI-focused tokens, though sustainability remains questionable. 'The crypto market increasingly prices AI integration as a utility metric,' observes Bitget chief analyst Ryan Lee. 'Successful ChatGPT implementation could create new valuation frameworks.'
